A space to talk, where you’ll find radical non-judgement and a down to earth therapist.

Sometimes we need a space to talk things through.

Perhaps things have become difficult at home, at work, in a relationship, or just in your own head.

You might have been managing things on your own for a long time, but have reached a point where that's becoming harder.

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including people who aren't necessarily used to talking about how they're feeling. I offer longer-term therapy where we can take the time to explore what's going on at a pace that feels manageable.

I’m Ashley, a BACP registered psychotherapist offering counselling and psychotherapy from my private practice in Yeovil, Somerset, and online across the UK.

Who I work with

I work with adults experiencing a range of difficulties. You might be dealing with something specific, or perhaps things have become difficult in your relationships, at work or in other parts of your life.

I often work with people who have spent a long time getting on with things on their own and are finding that harder to do now. You don't necessarily need to know exactly what's wrong or have a clear idea of what you want from therapy. Sometimes you just know that things don't feel right and you'd like some space to work through them.

Some of the things people come to me about include:

  • relationship difficulties and break-ups

  • loneliness and feeling disconnected

  • low confidence and self-esteem

  • work-related difficulties and pressure

  • major life changes

  • low mood and depression

  • compulsive behaviours, including difficulties with pornography, social media or phone use

  • anxiety and stress

You don't need to see yourself neatly in one of these categories. There isn't a checklist you need to meet before coming to therapy. We can start with whatever is going on for you.

Longer-term therapy

I particularly value working with people over the longer term, where we have the time and space to properly explore what's going on rather than focusing only on the immediate problem.

For some people, the things they're struggling with have developed over a long period of time, and it can take time to understand where they come from and how they affect their lives and relationships. I work in a relational way, and I think therapy can be most useful when there's room to build a relationship, get to know each other and gradually make sense of things at a pace that feels right for you.

There's no need to arrive with everything figured out. We can start wherever you are and see where the work takes us.
